CAMPANIA. Neapolis. Circa 300-275 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Subaeratus, 21 mm, 6.30 g, 5 h), a contemporary plated imitation. Diademed head of a nymph to right, wearing earring and necklace; behind, astragalos; below, APTEMI. Rev. NEAΠΟΛITΩN Man-headed bull walking to right; above, Nike flying right to crown the bull; below, ΘE. Cf. HN Italy 579 and Sambon 463 (for prototype). Pozzi (Boutin) 209 (this coin). Beautifully toned. Very minor breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
